10) Alcohol

Alcohol is one of the worst offenders on this list. It’s not only unhealthy, but it’s addictive. Alcohol can lead to addiction, which will make you feel like you need it in order to function properly. Alcohol also has a high sugar content and can lead to liver problems over time. Excessive alcohol consumption also increases your risk for cancer and heart disease. Alcohol should be avoided at all costs if you want to stay healthy! There are so many other things that we enjoy drinking that don’t have these adverse effects on our health.
Some other drinks to avoid are soft drinks, energy drinks, lattes (unless they’re made with almond milk or coconut milk), alcoholic beverages with added sugars, juice (because fruit juice still contains lots of natural sugars), caffeinated beverages like coffee or tea (because caffeine will leave you feeling jittery) or flavored water (these typically have lots of added sugars). If you really want something sweet then stick with natural sweeteners like honey, maple syrup, dates, or blackstrap molasses. There are plenty of great drink options available without any negative side effects.
