The premiere of the new season of The Real Housewives of Potomac kicked off with star Karen Huger celebrating her grand reunion at Air Restaurant and Lounge in D.C. When asked if her daughter Rayvin would join The Real Housewives of Potomac, RHOP Start star Karen Huger said maybe she’ll join. Rayvin is a natural on camera, so it seems like she could fit in with all of these drama queens.
They’re going to need some more blood pretty soon if they keep bringing new women in though; there’s only so much wine you can drink! And I’m not just saying that because I think Gabriella is from my rival school.
looks away When we last saw Karen on RHOP, she was trying to bring a group of ladies together for dinner but it didn’t go as planned. First, Gizelle Bryant showed up late and then Robyn Dixon showed up drunk and took off before dinner even started.
Needless to say, things didn’t go as planned—and neither did Karen’s plan for Season 2! But now that we’ve seen what kind of craziness went down at dinner, we do not doubt that she’ll be able to get everyone together again next season—even if she has to do it one-on-one or over drinks somewhere else.

ET on Bravo. For now, I spoke with multi-hyphenate RHOP star Karen Huger about her life, her family, and her potential new addition to The Real Housewives of Potomac cast. Potomac premiered last year, but you’ve been part of Real Housewives for several years.
How did you find your way onto Potomac? My ex-husband was working for Andy Cohen, so he introduced me to Andy through [my ex] Michael [Huger]. Andy called me up one day and said he was thinking about doing a show in D C., but it would have nothing to do with politics or government because that’s not interesting TV.
It would be women running around having cocktails. So my husband told him that I had been living in D.C., so he invited me down for lunch in New York City just to meet him personally.
Ray and Rayvin
Rayvin Thomas is Huger’s 22-year-old daughter from her previous marriage. Since then, she married mega-millionaire Russell Ray Thomas and had three more children: daughters Ava, 5, and London, 4, and son Rio Rayne, who was born in November 2017.
Huger said it was after London’s birth that she considered bringing Rayvin onto Potomac. Well, it all started with my oldest, she told The Daily Dish. When I first got married to my second husband, we already had a prenup set up but when I got pregnant with my first child of his
[with his] that’s when he came back to me and said you know what honey? And I looked at him like what? And he goes you know why I didn’t want to sign that paper? Because you’re going to leave me for somebody else. And I’m like oh really?
There are a lot of talks these days about which Real Housewives star is going to bring their kid on camera. We’re talking about RHOP’s Karen Huger, who is making headlines for all sorts of reasons.
The veteran Real Housewife revealed that her daughter has started out working on a show with Bravo producers, but it hasn’t yet been determined if she’ll appear on camera in front of Bravo cameras or if she will be working behind the scenes. With some new blood coming into Potomac (there are six women instead of five), we could see an interesting dynamic on RHOP with one more person in addition to Huger’s daughter joining Season 3.
So far, there have only been three cast members confirmed: Gizelle Bryant, Ashley Darby, and Robyn Dixon. What was your favorite moment?

As someone who watches RHOP religiously, I can tell you that my favorite moment from last season came when Karen Huger threw a party at her home in honor of Nina Ogando. It was so special because it wasn’t just any party; it celebrated Nina’s mother who had passed away recently.
Seeing how much love Karen showed Nina by throwing such a special event for her touched me. How do you think fans will react to seeing Karen Huger’s daughter join RHOP? Will they like Rayvin as much as they like their former cast member Sheree Whitfield? I guess we’ll find out soon enough!
